Easter Part 2

Easter was a very busy day. We had to be at Steve's family's celebration at noon for the annual easter egg hunt. After that we ate, chatted for a little while, and took off to grandma's house at about 2:15.

As usual Gabbie had a blast running through Grandma's house. Basically we all sat around and watched her tear the place up! I think she likes it there because grandma doesn't set many boundaries and spoils Gabbie rotten. Now for the pictures.

Here is grandma showing Gabbie her basket.

She wasn't a huge fan of the peeps.

Gabbie got new Dora and Boots sunglasses!

Steve is going to get me when he sees this. Sorry honey but I think this picture is funny!

As you can tell from the next few pictures Gabbie liked the chocolate bunny from Grandma.

Not parting with the bunny!

Gabbie got a new broom, mop, and cleaning set from GG which she loves!!! She likes to play dust and clean.

Back to the bunny! Uncle Steve was outside making funny faces at Gabbie. She was cracking up with a mouth full of chocolate. It was kind of funny but gross!

Hmm more bunny.

Finally we got the bunny away from her.

Here is Gabbie in the Easter basket grandma gave her last year. She still fits! Check out a couple of posts back to compare last year to this year. I wonder if she will fit next year.

Of course she had to play with the grass.

Gabbie sat in this basket watching the new Backyardigans DVD from Grandma for 20 minutes.

Here Gabbie is totally chilling. She was so funny with her feet propped up watching TV. I would ask her if she would want to get out and I got a big fat no.

By the way believe it or not, after all of that chocolate and sugar, Gabbie fell asleep at 6:45 on the way home from Grandma's house. That's my baby girl!

Easter Part 1

Lucky for Gabbie the Easter bunny came this morning and not tonight. Let's just say Gabbie is starting to take a liking to hitting. She was a little stinker today but I suppose I should save this topic for another day. (Anyone have an 18.5 month old hitter? Please tell me she is NOT the only one!)

Now for the pictures from this morning, Easter Part 1. Apparently we forgot to comb her hair and more importantly wet it down! This kid has some crazy hair in the morning!

This was her first close up look at her basket. She was really excited!

She HAD to open up this Dora ball set. This should be fun keeping away from Sydney (our dog).

Here is Gabbie showing Big Bird her things from the Easter bunny. Notice the pink grass dumped out of the basket. I must have put it back in 3 times and she kept dumping it out.

Gabbie really was so sweet and smiley. I love these next two pictures. My happy baby girl.

Crazy hair!

Dumping out the grass yet again for me!

Stay tuned for Easter part 2

Doctor's Visit and a New House for Gabbie

Yesterday morning we took Gabbie to get another haircut since her hair is growing like crazy. After that Gabbie went to the doctor for her 18 month visit. Now for her stats: She is a whopping 32 inches tall! This child is growing like a weed! She is a light weight though weighing barely 21 pounds. That puts her in the 10th percentile for weight and 50th for height.

Poor baby got a workout at the doctor between the ears and shots:( We felt so bad for her that we asked the Easter bunny to bring one of her presents a bit early and he agreed.

This is Gabbie's new house. The Easter bunny was so nice he even set the table for her:)

She loves the doorbell

I think she likes it! Looks like we might be spending all of spring and summer on our deck.

Here is she is cutting up the hot dog for her puppy.

At the end of the night right before bed. Poor baby had a heck of a day.

I sure love this sweet baby girl:)

Easter 2007

I thought today I would flashback in time to Easter 2007. Gabbie had only been home a couple of months but was starting to settle in. Looking back I cannot believe it has already been a year. Here are some pictures from Easter 2007. Can't wait to compare Easter 2008.

Here is Gabbie on GG's bed with her rosary.
