Coming out of retirement on a special day
Four years ago tonight we received the call that changed our lives forever. Our daughter to be was born. We waited for what seemed like an eternity to get pictures from our agency director. I stared at my email for nearly an hour straight. I will never forget that moment opening the first picture and seeing her there. It truly was such a special moment. I absolutely cannot believe it has been four years. I feel like she has been with us forever yet it seems like just yesterday. There is no doubt she was meant to be our child. I truly wish her first mom in Guatemala didn't have to make the decision she did but I thank God every day that I was chosen to be her mommy forever.

can you believe how fast the time has gone. She was beautiful from day one, and that just continues as she grows.
I miss blogs!! I still do mine but not as good as I used to
how can it be four years already?! oh my word, it's hard to believe that it's gone by so quickly and that these beautiful little girls that we all waited so long for are now preschoolers. i remember seeing your pictures on the ftc site and celebrating too, as we got our sophia's referral right around the same time. what an amazing four years it's been!
they grow so fast! and look how much she looks like a young lady...and not a baby anymore? i'm so sad....and thrilled! she's beautiful...she and jack will be perfect together!
