Steve, my mom, and I went to visit Gabbie in December 2006 when she was just a little over 3 months old. We had an amazing trip to say the least. Holding Gabbie for the first time was so scary yet wonderful! When it came time to leave we were so sad and cried many tears. Before we left Steve told her we would be back in 6 weeks to get her. We were just in PGN and I cried thinking there was no way it could happen. The morning we gave Gabbie back was terrible. Thank God for her wonderful foster mother who obviously loved her so much and told us she would take care of her.
Little did I know at the time that daddy wouldn't be too far off on his promise to Gabbie and she would be placed in our arms forever 8 weeks to the day we had to leave her.
